The Columbus Housing Partnership (CHP) worked with the highly-regarded architectural firm of Berardi + Partners on a design that blends seamlessly with the surrounding beighborhood. Homes at the Enclave will be generously sized at three-bedrooms and two and a half baths, and will boast exceptional exterior finishes including:

  • Shake siding
  • Cross gables
  • Buff stone veneer facades
  • Custom fabricated wood columns

The Enclave is “Going Green”!

The design of the Enclave is both aesthetically attractive and environmentally responsible.

The Enclave will meet the Green Communities (www.greencommunitiesonline.org) criteria, a set of rigorous environmental standards for residential housing.  Among other things, these standards dictate that no property may be built within 100 feet of wetlands or ecologically delicate areas.

The Enclave will also boast numerous Green design features to minimize energy waste, including:

  • Building-envelope upgrades
  • High-performance windows
  • Upgraded heating and cooling systems
  • Energy-Star® lighting
  • Water-conserving appliances and fixtures

Incorporating Green design principles into the Enclave adds value to the homes, reduces energy consumption, and lowers utility costs for residents. Additionally, adhering to Green requires high-durability materials, adding to the long-term quality of the homes.

A Walkable Neighborhood

The layout of the Enclave will continue the pattern of broad tree lawns, wide sidewalks and generous tree plantings already in place within the Hilliard Run subdivision. These features are part of the pedestrian-oriented layout of the Hilliard Run community, which follows Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) guidelines.

The Enclave layout, which is lower density than originally planned by Dominion, will include extensive green space and will contribute to the pedestrian-friendly atmosphere of the subdivision.
